Stage 1 remapping upgrades the software in your car or van’s engine control unit (ECU) to release more power and torque. It’s safe, reliable, and doesn’t involve changing or removing any parts.
Ideal for turbo petrol and diesel engines, it makes the vehicle more responsive, quicker to accelerate, and smoother to drive. Most drivers feel the difference straight away, and you can even see better fuel use if you drive steady.
The work takes around 1–2 hours and can be reversed if needed.

Will it affect insurance or warranty?
It can. Some insurers and main dealers don’t allow ECU tuning, so always ask them first.
We can send you the map details if they need them.
Can it be reversed later?
Yes, we back up the original software and can restore it.
Will it pass NCT?
Yes, as long as your emissions systems like the DPF and EGR are working.
We don’t remove or disable anything.
Does it improve fuel use?
It can — if you drive steady, the engine works more efficiently.
But if you drive harder, you’ll naturally use more fuel.
Is it legal?
Yes, ECO tuning itself is legal in Ireland, as long as no emissions systems are removed or tampered with — such as the DPF, EGR, or AdBlue. We don’t disable or delete anything like that. If the vehicle is otherwise healthy and emissions equipment is working, it should still pass the NCT.
